Week 475 – Graham and Liam talked quietly at the door of Sasha’s room, figuring out how they would protect Sasha and find Blake

“Which one is Blake?” Graham demanded, not even considering doubting Sasha, if she said she’d seen one of her tormentors here, then he believed her.

“The quiet one. Dylan’s brother. I think he might be a doctor, he would patch me up when the guys went too far with their games. Before …” Sasha trailed off, dragged in a breath, and he hated she was going through this when all she should be doing was resting and recuperating, but they didn’t have a choice, they had to find this Blake guy and stop him.

“Before what, honey?” he asked, taking her hand in his and touching kisses to her knuckles.

“Before Dylan took me to the cabin, when I thought we were dating and he was this wonderful boyfriend, he introduced me to his family. Blake was there, and … the way he looked at me gave me chills.”

“You sensed what they were.”

“Not enough to protect myself.”

“You protected yourself like a boss when you drove my car and mowed then all down.”

“I missed one,” she whispered and tears shimmered in her eyes.

“And we’ll get him here, now. If you saw him then he’s probably waiting for a chance to get to you.” A thought ran through his mind, a dangerous one, a huge gamble, but what choice did they have?

“He’s going to finish what they tried to start out there,” Sasha said, resignation in her voice.

“No. I won’t allow it.”

“How can we stop him?”

“You’re going to do nothing but lie here and rest. You’re just out of surgery, you should be sleeping. I’m going to be by the door, and I’m not going to be alone.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means we’re setting a little trap of our own. Sleep, honey. I won’t let anyone take you away from me.”

With that he touched a kiss to her forehead, watched as exhaustion pulled her back under, and then Graham and Liam talked quietly at the door of Sasha’s room, figuring out how they would protect Sasha and find Blake, nice and loudly, so the deranged doctor lurking nearby would hear them, and have no idea that he already knew exactly how he was going to protect his girl.
