Week 477 – How did she keep getting herself lost in the middle of these places?
Lost.
Again.
This had to the the third time this month that she’d one this, and Bridget had no idea how she kept managing to be so stupid, surely she should have learned her lesson by now.
But nope, she hadn’t.
Because here she was again, wandering around, no idea where she was or how she was going to find what she was looking for. Which was highly embarrassing for a twenty-nine year old woman who ran her own business.
How did she keep getting herself lost in the middle of these places?
It was just a shopping mall parking lot. Okay, sure, it was one of those huge ones, multi-storey , hundreds of parking spaces, maybe even thousands, but still she should be able to find where she’d left her car. She was so sure she’d been careful this time as well, noting down what level she was on and what number was hear where she’d parked, but her cute little sunny yellow car had been nowhere in sight when she’d come out of the mall.
Maybe she shouldn’t have stayed so late. She’d gone back for a second look at the dress she was going to wear to her sister’s wedding, and by the time she made up her mind, chose some shoes and a purse to go with it, the mall had been closing up.
Now even though the parking lot was emptying out she still could not find her car. It was the craziest thing, because it had to be here.
Had. To. Be.
So where was it?
Maybe she should just cut her losses, go back to the mall, see if she could find a security guard or something who could drive her around until she found it.
Just as she was about to do that, she finally saw a flash yellow. Was that her car? Bridget would have bet her very existence she hadn’t been on this level.
Oh well, she was tired, her feet were sore, and she was ready to head home. Hurrying towards it, she briefly thought it was odd that in the emptying lot there was still a van parked right beside her, before something connected with her, tackling her to the ground.
