Week 478 – Ok, what an interesting start
The pretty blonde wandering around the parking lot as though she were lost didn’t even see it coming.
Certainly didn’t have time to do anything about it.
One second she was walking about, the next she was on the ground, pinned in place by someone twice her size. Someone really should have told the woman she should do a better job of hiding it if she was lost, because she made herself look vulnerable, like a target. And she should keep a better watch on her surroundings. Plus hadn’t anyone ever told her that a van parked next to a car in a mostly empty lot was never good news?
As he watched, expecting to see the much bigger man hoist the petite woman into his arms and toss her into the back of the van, instead he saw her kick out with a well placed boot right to the man’s groin.
Chuckling he watched the man rear back, his howl echoing through the parking lot, as the woman scampered to her feet and rushed towards the yellow car parked beside the van.
She almost made it too.
But the man recovered enough to rush after her, tangle a hand in her long blonde locks and slam her head into the side of her car.
“Ok, what an interesting start we have here,” he muttered, grinning as he opened the door of his own vehicle and climbed out. Pasting on a sympathetic expression, he ran towards the commotion. “Hey! Stop!”
At his cries the big man released his would be victim and jumped into the back of the van, which took off with screeching tires as he ran towards the woman who had slumped to the ground.
She looked up at him through pain clouded eyes in the brightest shade of blue he’d ever seen. There was fear in those eyes too, and mistrust, she wasn’t sure if he was on her side or not, and she was correct to be wary of him.
Still he held up his hands, palms up, and gave her a reassuring smile. “Hey, its okay, you’re safe now, I’m Brad and I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
